Frequently asked questions
Do I have to pay to join the challenge?
No and there are many supporting offers from our AUSactive business members to assist you on your 75 moves a day which will be held in our directory.
What is a move?
Your 75 daily moves can be whatever your heart desires. Push, pull, squat, hinge, paddle, stroke, jump, pedal, step, crump, wiggle… It’s all good! You can alternate the moves. Mix and match. Make them harder, make them easier. Even share your moves with a partner. All that’s required is that you do 75 of them. Every. Single. Day. Check out our how to move guide for inspiration.
Are the 75 moves a day monitored through an app?
There is no official monitoring of your moves, it will be up to each individual to pledge their commitment and stay accountable to completing the challenge each day. We have partnered with Myzone, a unique heart rate monitor, so if you have an Apple or Android smart watch or Myzone device, you can connect and monitor your heart rate and activity. Joining the challenge with Myzone will also mean you will be entered into competitions to win prizes too!
We would love to see you sharing your achievements of movement on socials and tagging us @aus_active #AUSactiveMillionMoves
Why do I need to register a team?
It is not mandatory to register a team however if you do, we will be able to share with you how many pledges your team made at the end of the challenge.
Why do we need to pledge?
By pledging to move, you are committing to being more active over the challenge period. This data will then go into a piece of research that will be shared with the government in the hope of gaining funding for a nationwide campaign to get all of Australia more active.
